About SurveyWorks

The Rhode Island Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (RIDE) hired WestEd, a national, not-for-profit educational research and service organization to conduct this annual survey.

SurveyWorks is designed to give school teams, parents, community members and the public important feedback on five critical areas for school success:

  • Student Achievement
  • Teaching
  • Families and Communities
  • Safe and Supportive Schools
  • Funding and Resources

All SurveyWorks responses are confidential and RIDE assures that procedures conform to the highest standards for research. SurveyWorks reports, statewide survey highlights, and other education data can be found on the RIDE InfoWorks website.
